Google My Business (GMB) is one of the most important directories for local businesses, enabling you to control how your business appears on Google Search and Maps. Having a GMB profile helps you attract local customers and improve your SEO visibility.

Step-by-Step Guide to Listing Your Business on Google My Business:

Go to Google My Business Website
Visit Google My Business and click on the "Manage now" button in the top right of the page.
Sign in with your Google Account
Use an existing Google account or create a new one if necessary. This account will be linked to your business listing, so make sure you pick the correct Google account and have the login information written down.
Enter your business name
Type in your business name. This is how your business will appear on your listing, so make sure it is correct.
Choose your business type
Pick the category that best fits your business type. This will help Google show your business to people searching for related services.
Add your online store
If your business has a website customers can visit, add your website URL. If you don’t have one, click skip.
Enter business category
Enter your business’s corresponding industry so customers can find you easier. This will help your business appear when people search for services or products related to your industry.
Enter your business address
Enter your business address where your customers can visit you in person (if applicable).
Where are you located?
For this step, drag the map marker so it corresponds with where your business is located. You can zoom in and out until it is placed in the correct spot.
Add your phone number
If your business has a phone number where customers can reach out to you, enter it here. If you do not have a business phone number or having a number listed does not make sense for your business, then click skip.
Put your business on the map
Now that you have all of your information entered, your business listing is ready! Click continue to start the listing process. This is not the last step however, as this will only partially list your Google My Business listing online. The next step is verification from Google to complete the listing process.
Complete your verification
Google will prompt you to verify your business, usually via a video call or occasionally a postcard sent to your business address. Verification is necessary to manage your business listing fully.
Finish filling out your profile
Once verified, add more information like business hours, photos, services, and a business description. Regularly update your profile to keep it fresh and appealing to potential customers.
